lyrics

OCARINA

Someday, every skull will be an ocarina.
That way, death won't have to have the last say.
So then, we don't have to be afraid as all the silence
turns in to music. We can dance away our graves
as we make our way to an even better place.

Someday.

An "A" for effort and a purple heart.
I don't see a ring around your finger,
but it is dark. The clock is ticking,
and the shot is mine to take. The clock
is ticking, my heart is only mine to break.
But I iron out my fist,
and I turn and walk away.

And then I take my iron eyes out of their sockets.
And then I fold my velvet shades up like a wave.
And then I call all of the fire home from the field.
As if a vulture eats an apple for a change.
A change of heart.
A change of pace.

Someday.
